Why I love being a photographer
As I sit down to write this blog, I'm filled with nothing but gratitude for this form of creation I get to express in this life-time. I truly believe that photography chose me. I studied journalism at university and started working as a digital producer for the devil himself - Newscorp. I always had creative spark within, always writing, snapping photos of my pals, painting - I knew I was a sensitive person (which I've learn to love).
As a young gal, I started to experience anxiety that turned into full blown panic attacks, through this, I discovered meditation - it became my new passion, the more I meditate, the better I felt. I started a mental health blog called Lunaslogic (luna was my cat, who at the time, brought me so much joy). I started snapping photos of my girlfriends and our adventures we would go on and use the images to be an expression of peace to the world. Pairing them with words from my heart.
This started my love for taking photos. My two passion now, mental health/meditation/quantum physics & photography. I do believe these are the yin and the yang to myself.
As I mentioned, I felt like a didn't have a choice. I followed my path and knowing into meditation and the mind - I completed a mind performance coaching course where I learned about neural linguistic programming, hypnosis and more on the power of meditation. I thought I had found my jam. Excited, I hired a space and started seeing one on one clients - things were flowing but not with the ease I thought possible. I was taking a few photography jobs on the side at the time. Which ended up turning into every second day and then a noticed a pattern.
Every time I booked the clinic room to see my one-on-one clients, I would be booked for a higher paying gig in my photography world. It became clear that photography was calling. As soon as I surrendered that it was time to let my creative energy flow, it felt like the universe had it all planned out.
I've always felt like the my photography had an energy of its own. This isn't to say that I didn't/don't have to put a lot of energy into it but it feels effortless. Bookings, aligned clients & the shoots always seem to fall into place.
I truly fall ,ore in love with this craft every days know I have so much more to learn and it won't stop. Every time I have a bit of time away from my shoots or clients - I miss it so much. It feels like an extension of myself.
I have so many exciting visions for this space, especially with my own style and passions.
I do believe that photography is another way I can use meditation, the power of the mind and energy to create.
I love being a photographer because it allows me to see and capture individuals and businesses through the eyes of divine love. No judgement, hate or criticism. I am more patient, more creating, more loving, more expansive because of photography. It helps me surrender, to constantly come up with new ideas, fall more in love with humanity and the power we all have. It constantly reminds me that through the power of belief, anything is possible. I love being individuals no#1 hype girl and I'll encourage you to take the risk, remind you that you are already enough and ultimately you have everything you need already inside of you. I am just the vessel to help capture your truth.
And I'm so grateful that you're here. I can't wait to see what we create together.
I still continue to teach yoga on the side, learn more about the mind and neuroscience and I do see myself going back to taking one on one clients in the future, but for now. I am surrendering to this path.
Big love to you,
